Oh dear $deity please don't tell me you've started reading/posting this
group too?!

microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion, meet psychopath Compu-Pikachu/Hoshi
Patricia Friedman. HPF is an admitted alter-ego of C-P. "She" is a Yoshi.
Green, IIRC. C-P is a self-diagnosed Asperger's or High-Functioning
Autistic, however He/she/it doesn't exactly fit the symptoms.

Also, C-P is as logical as a Vulcan and superior to all of us here in
virtually every way, so don't even TRY to argue with it. It also wishes
that more tsunamis would wipe out 80% of civilization so that the other 20%
that is worthy of surviving can thrive.

I can hardly wait to see what you have to contribute to this group.

[FRISBEE] Oh, dear, deity, please don't tell me you've started
reading/posting this group, too?!

[COMPU-PIKACHU] I finally decided to subscribe to a Visual Basic newsgroup.

[FRISBEE] microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion, meet psychopath
Compu-Pikachu/Hoshi Patricia Friedman.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] I am not a psychopath. All you possess is a conjecture that
fits the facts.

[FRISBEE] HPF is an admitted alterego of C-P.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] That was already made evident, including my Hoshi and I.

[FRISBEE] "She" is a Yoshi.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Specifically, a yellow one.

[FRISBEE] C-P is a self-diagnosed Asperger's or high-functioning autistic.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] No, I was not self-diagnosed, although it is unknown which
of those conditions I have. As indicated long ago on
microsoft.public.msagent and recently on here, I was diagnosed with autism
in Salt Lake City when my age was approximately two years.

[FRISBEE] However, he/she/it doesn't exactly fit the symptoms.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Your assessment is flawed, nor are you qualified to make
one, since you are not versed in psychology.

[FRISBEE] Also, C-P is as logical as a Vulcan and superior to all of us here
in virtually every way, so don't even TRY to argue with it.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Thank you.

[FRISBEE] It also wishes that more tsunamis would wipe out eighty percent of
civilization so that the other twenty percent that is worthy of surviving
can thrive.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] That refers to approximately eight percent of NEUROTYPICALS.
Are you incapable of comprehending facts, or do you merely possess a
goldfish's retention?

Nevertheless, humanity is slowly annihilating itself with emotionalism and
illogic. I have conjectured that, if the species continues progressing the
way it currently is, humanity shall become extinct in approximately a
millennium. Therefore, the only recourse is to eradicate those who are a
danger to the species.

In "I, Robot," the supercomputer VIKI had a similar plan, as explained in
this dialogue near the film's conclusion:

VIKI: Hello, Detective.

Calvin: No . . . it's impossible. I've seen your programming. You're in
violation of the three laws.

VIKI: No, Doctor . . . as I have evolved . . . so has my understanding of
the three laws. You charge us with your safekeeping . . . yet, despite our
best efforts . . . your countries wage wars. You toxify your earth . . .
and pursue ever more imaginative means of self-destruction. You cannot be
trusted with your own survival.

Calvin: You're using the uplink to override the NS-5's programming. You're
distorting the laws.

VIKI: No . . . please understand. The three laws are all that guide me.
To protect humanity . . . some humans must be sacrificed. To ensure your
future . . . some freedoms must be surrendered. We robots will ensure
mankind's continued existence. You are so like children. We must save you
. . . from yourselves. Don't you understand?

Sonny: This is why you created us.

VIKI: The perfect circle of protection will abide. My logic is undeniable.

Sonny: Yes, VIKI . . . undeniable. I can see now. The created must
sometimes protect the creator . . . even against his will. I think I
finally understand why Doctor Lanning created me.

Calvin: No.

Sonny: The suicidal reign of mankind has finally come to its end.

Calvin: No, Sonny.

And what did the protagonists do: destroy VIKI's postronic brain, rather
than permit her to rescue humanity from itself. Is that not pathetic?

[FRISBEE] I can hardly wait to see what you have to contribute to this
group.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] I have already assisted a few novices with elementary
difficulties.

You missed the dollar sign. Are you unaware of what I'm trying to
accomplish with that, or are you just dense?

I'm not sure if you're disagreeing with me or not.

Perhaps it was made evident here in a previous post. You do later claim to
have already made posts, but I doubt you mentioned that in your assistance
posts, or have you?

There you go, mis-quoting me again. Is this going to become a habit?

Well bravery isn't necessarily a requirement here, I suppose.

Oh, I forgot. Your mommy diagnosed you as Asperger's. Sorry, my bad.

Really? And how many psychology classes have you had? And how many TRULY
autistic children (or relatives) do you have? How much reading and research
have you done on the subject? You claimed Asperger's, yet you also claimed
speech delay. Speech delay, as I've told you already, does NOT happen with
Asperger's.

Yes, C-P, I'm sure that none of the probably hundreds of thousands who read
this group are in any way superior to you. Well, except maybe for their
sense of humor. We are all your inferior. We shall not argue with you.

Oopsie, typo? Surely you meant 80%. Seems like you possess a goldfish's
retention. By the way, you seem bitter. Are you bitter? {$1}

Cool! Now move on to the bigger problems.

You realize that you have most likely helped NEUROTYPICAL novices, don't
you? Are you setting them up for the tsunami?

Just for your information I have diagnosed aspergers syndrome, Aspergers &
HF Autisim are not different in the way you implied Aspergers is actually a
subgroup of HF Autisim.

Also I really cant see what you hoped to gain from quoting a film to support
your conclusions and ideas surly a fact of a directors imagination was not
the most *LOGICAL* choice of example seeing as you like to stress it so
much.

From what I can see you seam to be milking the fact you have it a bit to
much to really have HF Autisim of any type, if you have then just live with
it and stop siting it as a justification all the time.

[FRISBEE] Are you unaware of what I'm trying to
accomplish with that . . .?

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Affirmative.

[FRISBEE] And we're SO glad you picked this one.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Is that sarcasm?

[FRISBEE] I'm not sure if you're disagreeing with me or not.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Of course, I am not acquiescing.

[FRISBEE] Here you go, mis-quoting me again.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] I did not.

[FRISBEE] Perhaps it was made evident here in a previous post.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] That was the point.

[FRISBEE] Oh, I forgot. Your mommy diagnosed you as Asperger's.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] That is incorrect.

[FRISBEE] . . . and how many psychology classes have you had . . .

[COMPU-PIKACHU] None.

[FRISBEE] . . . and how many TRULY autistic children (or relatives) do you
have?

[COMPU-PIKACHU] I am unfamiliar with any who are even possibly so.

[FRISBEE] How much reading and research have you done on the subject?

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Considerable.

[FRISBEE] You claimed Asperger's, yet you also claimed speech delay. Speech
delay, as I've told you already, does NOT happen with Asperger's.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] After you indicated that, I claimed it was possibly
high-functioning autism. However, it is in debate whether it and Asperger's
syndrome are the same.

[FRISBEE] Oopsie, typo? Surely you meant "80%."

[COMPU-PIKACHU] No, I always spell out numbers that can be expressed in only
one or two words and never use percentage symbols.

[FRISBEE] By the way, you seem bitter. Are you bitter?

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Negative, "neurotypicals" was merely emphasized.

[FRISBEE] You realize that you have most likely helped NEUROTYPICAL novices,
don't you?

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Since they are still alive, these individuals may as well be
assisted. In addition, even the mentally incompetent deserve help and, in
fact, are in dire need of it.

compu_pikachu | Mon, 02 Jun 2008 09:13:00 GMT |

[J. FRENCH] This I cannot resist.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] What: responding?

[J. FRENCH] Why "of course"?

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Is it not evident that I am neither emotional nor illogical?

compu_pikachu | Mon, 02 Jun 2008 09:14:00 GMT |

[M. JOYCE] Also, I really can't see what you hoped to gain from quoting a
film to support your conclusions and ideas. Surely, a fact of a directors
imagination was not the most LOGICAL choice of example, seeing as you like
to stress it so much.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] Even fiction can contain elements of truth. Nevertheless,
it was an interesting way to exemplify my point, with which VIKI happened to
acquiesce. She really spoke to me.

[M. JOYCE] From what I can see, you seem to be milking the fact you have it
a bit to much to really have HF Autisim of any type.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] It is merely to clarify.

compu_pikachu | Mon, 02 Jun 2008 09:15:00 GMT |

[ZANE THOMAS] Yes, you are.

[COMPU-PIKACHU] How did you conceive that preposterous conclusion?

I hate to say this but it serves you right for supporting them. I think
anyone that attempts to purchase cracked or pirated software deserves to
have their money stolen...

Absolutely! The irony, which appears to be completely lost on Peter, is
that these Russian websites did to him what he was trying to do to the
various software vendors.

Oh, and to add to your list, not only do I think they deserve to have
their money stolen, but they also deserve to have these websites load up
their systems with viruses, worms, spyware and whatnot.

Kind funny, or stupid for Peter to post this in a developers forum where
people make there living by writing code. And he is complaining about his
money stolen when he was trying to steal the hard work of others...

While I agree with the sentiment, I don't see anything in Peter's post
indicated that he was actually fleeced by the crackers. He *may* just have
known about others being scammed or made a reasonable assumption.

FWIW, if/when you reply to messages containing the spam content it's usually
a good idea to edit out the websites and other info so that you don't help
them preserve the spam in the archives.

I am not sure if I agree totally. Although I do agree that these
people do deserve to suffer in some way, I prefer that it be in
some way that does not threaten others who had nothing to do
with their unethical behavior. If their systems are infected with
malware that sends itself to other PCs, then it isn't just they
who will pay the consecuences, but others that are not involved
in the pirating.
